The media has not done anything to help or change the situation in our perspective but the the boko haram they probably saw the thoughts and moved to another place. So, it doesn't look changing to us but it could change their location because on the media the president and that are predicting where they are so they move to another spot.
My main point is that the boko haram's perspective could be different to ours.
